Please join Idinleke Atlanta as we host the 14th Annual Orisa & Egbe Festival on Saturday, May 17, 2025!

 

This year’s community day of celebration will be held at Twin Pond, located at 3215 Bright Star Road. This vibrant community event is public and open to all!

 

Shrines to Osun, Obatala, Olokun, and Egbe will be open for appeasement from 2 PM to 4 PM . Offerings are encouraged and include: kolanut, palm oil, liquor, honey, money, efun (white chalk), shea butter, sugarcane, apples, oranges, buro (small) bananas, peanuts, popcorn, unwrapped candy, brown coconut (whole), and fabric. Priests will be available to receive your offerings according to the following schedule:

2:00 PM
SHRINES OPEN – Shrines to Osun, Obatala, Olokun, and Egbe will open for community appeasement. Please bring or purchase kola nut if you plan to appease the shrines.

 

4:00 PM
BEMBE – Praise the Orisa through drumming, dance, and song, led by Egbe Ayan Atlanta. Don’t forget to dash the drummers!

 

5:00 PM
EGBE PROCESSION – Community procession for Egbe Orun, led by the Iyalode and bata drummers. Community is encouraged to bring offerings for Egbe. Priests will be available to receive offerings and offer prayers for the community.

 

This year’s festival will be a cookout-style gathering — the grill will be going all day! Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, family, and positive energy. Dress comfortably, enjoy the festivities, and stay for music, food, games, and good vibes!
